Inclement weather: 18 flights diverted from IGI Airport

Over 15 flights were diverted from the national capital's IGI Airport due to inclement weather, which hampered operations on early Saturday evening.

New Delhi, Feb 29 Over 15 flights were diverted from the national capital's IGI Airport due to inclement weather, which hampered operations on early Saturday evening.

According to airport sources, 18 flights in total to IGI Airport had to be diverted due to "Strong wind", which started at around 5 p.m. on Saturday.

"The weather condition lasted between 5 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. in this time period 18 flights to the airport were diverted elsewhere," sources said.

On Saturday evening, strong winds and rains lashed several parts of the NCR.
