New Delhi [India], May 4: The Indian School of Business & Finance (ISBF) has announced the launch of its BSc (Hons) Artificial Intelligence undergraduate programme, further strengthening its portfolio of globally benchmarked higher education in India. The programme is offered with academic direction from Brunel University London, a UK-based institution known for its strong focus on technology, engineering, and applied research. The degree is awarded by the University of London.

As artificial intelligence rapidly transforms industries, from finance and healthcare to governance, e-commerce, and public policy, the demand for professionals who can design and deploy intelligent systems responsibly is growing at an unprecedented pace. ISBF's new programme aims to address this need by combining strong academic foundations with practical, industry-linked learning.

Designed with academic direction from Brunel University London, the programme focuses on building core capabilities in computing, data, and problem-solving, while progressively enabling students to apply these skills to real-world AI use cases. Reflecting Brunel's applied and industry-orientated approach, the programme places equal emphasis on technical depth and real-world relevance.

A key differentiator of the programme is the integration of applied learning and industry exposure from the outset. In a move that sets it apart, ISBF has established an AI Mentorship Board, bringing together industry leaders and practitioners from organisations such as Meta, along with founders and experts from Nirwana AI and Milana. The board also includes professionals who are alumni of globally renowned institutions such as Georgia Institute of Technology and Harvard Business School.

This mentorship-driven approach is intended to ensure that students benefit from continuous industry interaction, real-world insights, and exposure to emerging developments in artificial intelligence.

Further strengthening its applied learning ecosystem, ISBF will also be establishing a dedicated AI Lab on campus. The lab will serve as a hands-on innovation hub where students can work with real-world datasets, build and test AI models, and collaborate on industry-led projects. It is designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and practical implementation, enabling students to experiment and build solutions in real time.

Emphasising the institution's approach, Arushi Bakshi, Director, ISBF, noted that artificial intelligence is already reshaping how organisations and societies function and that education must evolve accordingly. She added, "At ISBF, we will be teaching artificial intelligence in a way that goes beyond theory, with a clear focus on application, critical thinking, and responsible use."

The programme places strong emphasis on critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication, ensuring that graduates are well-equipped to navigate complex and evolving professional environments. Students will engage in case-based learning, practical assignments, and real-world problem-solving across sectors.

Graduates will be prepared for a wide range of roles, including AI specialist, machine learning engineer, data analyst, business intelligence analyst, and technology consultant. The program also provides a strong pathway for postgraduate studies at leading global institutions.

The launch comes at a time when India is emerging as a major hub for technology and innovation, with increasing investment in artificial intelligence across sectors. As organisations accelerate AI adoption, there is a growing need for talent that combines technical expertise with ethical awareness and strategic thinking, an area ISBF aims to address through this programme.

Admissions for the BSc (Hons) Artificial Intelligence programme are now open for the upcoming academic session.
