New Delhi [India], April 22: Eternal Sounds and the Calcutta Heritage Collective (CHC) presented Bickram Ghosh's fusion music album, Rhythmscape 2.0, at the Far Pavilions of the Tolly Club recently. This occasion marks the completion of twenty-five years for Bicikram Ghosh's fusion album and the band, Rhythmscape. Rhythmscape 2.0, featuring seven brand-new tracks, was officially unveiled at the event. The album is released on Eternal Sounds the kolkata based music label. Representing Eternal Sounds partners as Utsav Parekh, Gaurang Jalan, Mayank Jalan and Bickram Ghosh were present.

After twenty-five years, Bickram Ghosh returns to redefine the very sound he pioneered through Rhythmscape.

In 2001, the world witnessed the birth of a magical new soundaccompanied by an equally mesmerizing live performance experience. Bickram Ghosh launched his flagship project, Rhythmscape, twenty-five years agoa venture that would subsequently go on to make history. Despite the various pressures of the industry, Bickram chose not to leave Bengal; instead, remaining rooted in Kolkata, he built his internationally acclaimed band, Rhythmscape.

Rhythmscape has performed on premier stages across the globe and has pioneered an experimental musical genre that has inspired generations to embrace the path of fusion music. Rhythmscape centers on rhythmic improvisation, melodic emotion, and the art of storytellingseamlessly blending Indian classical percussion with modern arrangements, global musical influences, and contemporary production techniques.

Bickam Ghosh returns with Rhythmscape 2.0serving as a contemporary successor to his groundbreaking original work. While retaining the core spirit of the original Rhythmscape, this new album reflects the journey of his artistic life over the past two decades, his evolution as a performer, and his extensive experience performing on the global stage. Rhythmscape 2.0 illustrates how rhythm continuously evolves, transcending the boundaries of generation and genre. At the heart of Rhythmscape 2.0 lies the concept that rhythm is a universal languagecapable of connecting people across the divides of culture, emotion, and audience demographics.

Over a career spanning more than three decades, Bickram Ghosh has collaborated with numerous Grammy-winning artists, performed on iconic stages across six continents, composed music for films, and released albums that defy easy categorization within a single genre. He is one of the few Indian classical percussionists to have established a global presence while remaining based in Kolkata. As a composer, Bickram has worked across Bollywood, World Music, and Classical Crossover formats. As a teacher and mentor, he has also profoundly influenced a new generation of percussion artists. His role as a Cause Ambassador for Calcutta Heritage Collective further underscores his unwavering commitment to preserving and reimagining Bengal's rich cultural heritage.

During the album launch event, a captivating conversation between Bickram Ghosh and cultural activist Nandita Palchoudhuriexploring the journey of his fusion musicdrew significant attention.

Bickram Ghosh remarked, "The journey of Rhythmscape has seen many new additionssuch as the inclusion of various new instruments in this album, and the incorporation of Hip-Hop in the music videos. Although we are currently living in the era of singles, Rhythmscape represents a confluence of diverse emotions; therefore, it was simply impossible to capture that essence within a single track. My hope is that Rhythmscape continues to reach even greater heights and spreads even further."
