Lucknow, Dec 31 Products made under the 'One District, One Product' (ODOP) scheme of the Uttar Pradesh government will now be showcased at the Dilli Haat fair in Delhi from January 16 to 31.

It is for the first time that a fair is being organised at Dilli Haat for the branding of artisans from UP at the national and international level.

In this fair, 118 stalls from 61 districts across the state will be set up.

According to a state government spokesman, under the ODOP scheme, a dream project of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, one to two products from each district would be promoted and marketed globally.

From improving the skills of craftsmen who make these products to making them available in the market, the state is providing all assistance.

With the support of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, more than 11,000 products of ODOP are available on online shopping websites, including Amazon, and over 50,000 products worth Rs 24 crore have already been sold.

The government has provided financial assistance of Rs 82 crore to more than 2,600 entrepreneurs. The Industries Department has also given full support and provided employment opportunities to over 28,000 persons in these industries.

The ODOP products to be showcased at the fair include leather products and marble from Agra, glass products from Firozabad, brass and anklet bells from Etah, 'moonj' (grass) products of Amethi, terracotta products from Gorakhpur, chikankari from Lucknow and musical instruments from Amroha.

ID cards will be mandatory for every craftsman attending the fair and the government will also provide free stalls, lodging and transport facilities to the participating craftsmen.
