Jaipur, April 23 The National Agriculture Market (e-NAM) platform is driving transparent, technology-enabled agricultural trade by digitally integrating mandis (wholesale markets) across India.

In Rajasthan, 173 mandis are now connected to e-NAM, expanding opportunities for lakhs of farmers and accelerating efficient, transparent agricultural marketing.

Through e-NAM, farmers in the state can sell their produce to buyers across the country, enabling better price discovery and increased incomes. Launched on April 14, 2016, under the leadership of Prime Minister PM Modi, e-NAM was envisioned to free farmers from the limitations of local markets by enabling nationwide online trading.

The platform ensures transparency through online auctions, real-time price tracking and informed decision-making. It also provides direct digital payments to farmers’ bank accounts immediately after sales. A single trading licence valid across the state allows traders seamless participation in all markets.

Further strengthening the system, the government of India launched e-NAM 2.0 on February 12, 2026.

The upgraded platform promotes inter-state trade with features such as automated bidding, demand-supply analytics, logistics support and Financial Technology integration.

In Rajasthan, e-NAM has brought together over 15.55 lakh farmers, 87,509 traders and 27,989 commission agents on a unified platform. Additionally, 546 Farmer-Producer Organisations are registered on e-NAM in the state.

Currently, 138 commodities are traded across Rajasthan through this system. From 2016 to January 2026, a total of 3.16 crore metric tonnes of agricultural produce have been traded via e-NAM in Rajasthan, with a cumulative value exceeding Rs 1,30,772 crore.

Over this decade, Rajasthan has ranked second nationally in total arrivals and first in e-trade volume on the platform.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Rajasthan has also introduced Artificial Intelligence-based quality assessment systems.

At present, 134 e-NAM mandis are using Artificial Intelligence and machine learning tools for faster and more accurate quality testing of agricultural produce.

The e-NAM platform actively promotes digital transactions, strengthening financial inclusion for farmers. Verified digital records improve access to institutional credit and financial services. In Rajasthan, e-payments worth over Rs 505 crore have been processed through 44,711 transactions, placing the state fourth nationally in e-payment adoption on e-NAM.

To further encourage digital transactions, the state government has integrated the E-Payment Incentive Scheme with the Krishak Upahar Yojana. Under this initiative, both farmers and traders conducting e-payments are eligible for lottery-based cash rewards through exclusive gift coupons, incentivising secure and immediate digital transactions.

For assistance, e-NAM users can access the toll-free helpline 1800-270-0224, ensuring timely grievance redressal and continuous technical support, especially for first-time users navigating the platform.
