Women Empowerment:

The Union Budget 2025 reflects a strong commitment to ‘Nari Shakti’ by strengthening the Sashakt Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 programs. True economic growth is achieved when women’s health, nutrition, and participation in the workforce are prioritized. A well-nourished and empowered woman is the backbone of a thriving economy." The budget introduces a special scheme for 5 lakh women and SC/ST entrepreneurs, along with enhanced credit support for MSMEs. The investment limit for MSMEs has been increased by 2.5 times, and a new ₹10,000 crore Fund of Funds for startups will further encourage job creation.

Yuva (Youth) and Middle Class:

Prime Minister Modi’s emphasis on ‘GYAN—Garib, Yuva, Annadata, and Nari Shakti’ underscores the government’s vision for inclusive development. By expanding investment opportunities and MSME growth, this budget ensures that our youth and middle class find greater financial security, employment, and entrepreneurial pathways." The government has increased the income tax exemption limit to ₹12 lakh. This is a major relief for middle-class taxpayers. By raising the exemption limit to ₹12 lakh, disposable income will increase, boosting household spending and savings. This move aligns with the government’s focus on inclusive growth and economic acceleration.

Education & Skills Development:

Education is the foundation of a strong nation. The government’s decision to remove TCS on education loans and expand medical seats will democratize learning opportunities. However, a parallel focus on digital skills, AI, and vocational training is crucial to prepare India’s workforce for the future economy.

Expansion of AI & Cyber Security:

n the Union Budget 2024-25, the Indian government has significantly increased its focus on artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) received an allocation of ₹21,936 crore, marking a 52% increase from the previous fiscal year's revised estimates of ₹14,421 crore.

India AI Mission:

A notable highlight is the allocation of ₹550 crore to the India AI Mission, underscoring the government's commitment to advancing AI research and applications. This mission aims to position India as a leader in AI by developing a comprehensive ecosystem that promotes innovation through democratizing computing access, enhancing data quality, fostering indigenous AI capabilities, attracting top talent, enabling industry collaboration, providing startup risk capital, ensuring socially impactful AI projects, and promoting ethical AI practices. This is a good start but since AI is the future government has to increase the budget and open more centers. People have a myth that after AI jobs in the market will be reduced and the government should take initiatives to spread the awareness that AI is going to generate more jobs.

Investment & Business Growth:

The 2.5x increase in MSME investment limits and the introduction of the Investment Friendliness Index signal a transformative shift towards a more competitive and growth-oriented economy. By simplifying regulations and enhancing financial sector responsiveness, India is creating an investor-friendly ecosystem that will drive innovation and job creation.

Budget for Farmers:

Key initiatives include an increase in Kisan Credit Card (KCC) loan limits from ₹3 lakh to ₹5 lakh, the Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana covering 100 districts, and a six-year program to achieve self-sufficiency in pulses. The reopening of urea plants in Eastern India will also support agricultural productivity.

Economic Vision for Bharat:

The Union Budget 2025 sends a strong message—India’s growth story is rooted in empowering its people. Whether through financial reforms, MSME support, or investments in healthcare and education, this budget lays the foundation for an aspirational, self-reliant, and globally competitive India.
