New Delhi [India], December 29: Steelbird Hi-Tech India Ltd., the world's largest helmet manufacturer, has achieved a significant milestone in its retail expansion journey by growing its exclusive Rider Shop network to 330 outlets across India. The latest addition to this expanding network is Jay Maa Enterprises-Patna, launched recently as an exclusive Steelbird Rider Shop, further strengthening Steelbird's pan-India footprint.

The milestone underscores Steelbird's continued focus on building a strong, organised retail ecosystem for rider safety, ensuring wider access to certified helmets and protective gear for two-wheeler riders across metros, Tier-2, Tier-3 and emerging markets.

Strengthening Organised Retail for Rider Safety

Steelbird's exclusive Rider Shop format plays a key role in promoting the adoption of genuine, globally certified safety products. Each Rider Shop offers a comprehensive portfolio of helmets compliant with ISI, DOT and ECE 22.06 safety standards, along with riding accessories designed for Indian road conditions, weather challenges and daily commuting needs.

Commenting on the milestone, Mr. Rajeev Kapur, Managing Director, Steelbird Hi-Tech India Ltd., said:

"Crossing 330 exclusive Rider Shops is a strong validation of the trust riders place in the Steelbird brand. Our focus is not just on expanding retail numbers, but on ensuring that every rider, irrespective of location, has access to certified helmets that meet ISI, DOT and ECE 22.06 standards. Organised retail plays a crucial role in improving helmet awareness, quality adoption and ultimately saving lives on Indian roads."

Roadmap to 1,000 Exclusive Rider Shops by 2027

Building on this momentum, Steelbird has outlined a clear growth roadmap and plans to expand its exclusive Rider Shop network to 1,000 outlets across India by 2027. The expansion will be driven by deeper penetration into high-growth Tier-2, Tier-3 and semi-urban markets, where two-wheeler usage and safety awareness continue to rise.

To support this expansion, Steelbird is planning an Investment of approximately ₹105 crore towards retail infrastructure, dealer development, branding, and customer experience enhancement across its Rider Shop network.

Manufacturing Strength Fuels Nationwide Growth

Steelbird's expanding retail footprint is backed by its robust manufacturing capabilities. The company operates multiple manufacturing facilities across India with a combined production capacity of over 50,000 helmets per day, enabling it to meet rising domestic demand while supporting global exports.

With over 8.75 million helmets sold in 2024, Steelbird continues to invest in advanced manufacturing, product innovation and safety technologies to reinforce its leadership position in the global helmet industry.
