Star West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell has joined the Kolkata Knight Riders camp ahead of IPL 2025. KKR shared the news on Instagram with the caption, "Kolkata feels the heat - Dre Russ is Here," welcoming their star player.

Russell, who has been with KKR since 2014, was retained by the franchise for INR 12 crore before the auction. He played a crucial role in KKR's title-winning run in IPL 2024, smashing 222 runs at a strike rate of 185.00 in nine innings. Known for his game-changing performances with both bat and ball, he is set to be a key player once again in the upcoming season.
Defending champion Kolkata Knight Riders will take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on March 22 in the opening match of the 2025 Indian Premier League.
