Sri Lanka Women’s National Cricket Team vs Bangladesh Women’s National Cricket Team Match Scorecard: Bangladesh’s spin duo ran through the Sri Lanka Women’s batting line-up as the hosts were bowled out for 202 in 48.4 overs in the 21st match of the ICC Women’s World Cup at D Y Patil Stadium. Hasini Perera starred with 85 while Chamari Athapaththu added 46. The innings began shakily when opener Vishmi Gunaratne was dismissed on the first ball by Marufa Akter. Perera and Athapaththu steadied the innings with a 72-run stand for the second wicket.

Once Athapaththu fell, Sri Lanka struggled and lost momentum. Perera again held the innings together with a 70-run partnership with Nilakshika de Silva. The last six wickets fell for 28 runs as Bangladesh’s spinners took control.

Leg-spinner Shorna Akter was the pick of the bowlers with 3 for 27, while Rabeya Khan claimed 2 for 39. Despite some dropped catches from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka’s middle and lower order could not recover.

Sri Lanka’s total of 202 sets Bangladesh a target of 203. The visitors will rely on their spinners to defend the modest total on a wicket offering turn and grip.

Brief Scores: Sri Lanka 202 all out in 48.4 overs (Hasini Perera 85, Chamari Athapaththu 46, Nilakshika de Silva 37; Shorna Akter 3-27, Rabeya Khan 2-39) against Bangladesh.
