England National Under-19 Cricket Team vs Scotland National Under-19 Cricket Team Match Scorecard: England’s Ben Mayes wrote his name into the record books by scoring 191 off 117 balls against Scotland in the ICC Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.

The 18-year-old’s innings is the highest individual score by an England batter in U-19 World Cup history. It also equals the second-highest score of all time in the tournament, alongside Sri Lanka’s Hasitha Boyagoda, and falls just short of the world record of 192 set by Viran Chamuditha earlier in the competition against Japan.

Mayes came to the crease after England lost Ben Dawkins early and immediately took the attack to the Scottish bowlers. He shared a 188-run partnership with Joe Moores over 22 overs, dominating the opposition.

In his innings, Mayes hit 18 boundaries and eight sixes, helping England reach 404 for six, the sixth-highest total in U-19 World Cup history and the highest of the 2026 tournament so far.
