IPL 2026, RR vs CSK Today Match: The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will play an Indian Premier League match without MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina for the first time in the franchise’s 17-year history when they face Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Monday, March 30, 2026.

Dhoni has been ruled out of the match due to a calf strain and is expected to miss at least two weeks, the franchise said. "MS Dhoni is currently undergoing rehabilitation for a calf strain. As a result, he is likely to miss the first two weeks of the TATA IPL 2026. Get well soon, Thala!" CSK wrote in a statement on X (formerly Twitter) on March 28, 2026.

Raina, who retired in 2022, remains the team’s leading run-scorer. Dhoni, who continued to play after Raina’s retirement, has led Chennai to five IPL titles and featured in every match since 2022.

Both players were part of the franchise from its inaugural season in 2008 and are widely regarded as central figures in its success. Raina also captained the team in matches when Dhoni was unavailable in earlier seasons.

Chennai will begin a new phase with Sanju Samson set to make his debut for the team against his former side.

In another squad change, Ravindra Jadeja, who spent more than a decade with Chennai, has moved to Rajasthan as part of the trade involving Samson.
