Delhi Capitals Women won the toss and elected to bowl first against UP Warriorz in match eight of the Women’s Premier League 2025 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday.
DC, two-time runners-up, have had a strong start to their campaign, winning two of their three matches. UP Warriorz, on the other hand, are yet to secure a victory after two consecutive losses.
The teams last met on February 19 at Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara, where DC secured a seven-wicket win. UPW posted 166-7, with Kiran Navgire scoring 51 off 27 balls and Chinelle Henry adding an unbeaten 33 off 15. Annabel Sutherland led DC’s bowling attack with 2-26, while Jess Jonassen remained economical with 1-21.
In the chase, skipper Meg Lanning anchored DC’s innings with a 49-ball 69. Sutherland (41* off 35) and Marizanne Kapp (29* off 17) finished the game in the last over.
For today’s match, Delhi Capitals remain unchanged, while UPW have brought in Saima Thakor for Rajeshwari Gayakwad.
