New Delhi (April 15, 2025): The Delhi Traffic Police on Tuesday issued a traffic advisory ahead of the Indian Premier League match between Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals. The match is scheduled for Wednesday at Arun Jaitley Stadium from 7:00 PM to 11:30 PM, and spectator movement is expected from 5:30 PM to 12:00 Midnight. Delhi Traffic Police has advised commuters to avoid the surrounding roads during the match hours for public convenience and safety.

Traffic Diversions and Restrictions

Heavy vehicles and buses will not be allowed on the following stretches:

• Daryaganj to Bahadurshah Zafar Marg

• Guru Nanak Chowk to Asaf Ali Road

Commuters are advised to avoid these roads from 5.30 p.m. to 12 midnight:

• JLN Marg from Rajghat to Delhi Gate up to Kamla Market Roundabout

• Asaf Ali Road from Turkman Gate to Delhi Gate

• Bahadurshah Zafar Marg from Delhi Gate to Ramcharan Aggarwal Chowk

Taxi Pick and Drop Points

App-based taxi services have designated pick and drop points at:

• Gate No. 2 near Maulana Azad Medical College on BSZ Marg

• Rajghat Chowk

Instructions for Commuters

Delhi Traffic Police has urged the public to use public transport and follow instructions from personnel deployed on the ground. Motorists are requested to remain patient and plan their travel accordingly.

Parking Arrangements

Labeled vehicle parking:

• P-1: Four-wheelers at JP Park (Opposite Gate No. 3)

• P-2: Four-wheelers at Vikram Nagar Parking near Shahidi Park

• P-3: Two-wheelers near JJB or Prayas Office

• P-4: Four-wheelers at GLNS School near JJB or Prayas Office

Entry to all labeled parking areas will be allowed only via Vikram Nagar Cut on BSZ Marg near Shahidi Park.

General parking will not be allowed on Bahadurshah Zafar Marg, JLN Marg, and Ring Road from Rajghat to I.P. Flyover. Vehicles parked on these stretches will be towed and prosecuted.

Park and Ride Facility

The following locations will offer parking for spectators using the Park and Ride service:

• Mata Sundari Parking

• Shanti Van Parking

• Rajghat Service Road

• Rajghat Power House Road

• Velodrome Road near IG Stadium

A shuttle bus service will run from these parking sites starting two hours before the match and continue for one hour after the match ends. Spectators using app-based taxis can use the service lane on Ring Road between I.P. Flyover and Rajghat Crossing.

Stadium Entry Points

• Gates 1 to 8: Entry from Bahadurshah Zafar Marg (Southern side)

• Gates 10 to 15: Entry from JLN Marg next to Ambedkar Stadium Bus Terminal (Eastern side)

• Gates 16 to 18: Entry from Bahadurshah Zafar Marg near Petrol Pump (Western side)

Only vehicles with valid labels will be allowed near the stadium. These labels must display the vehicle number and mobile number of the driver or owner.
