Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has officially joined the Rajasthan Royals for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season, and the franchise marked the occasion with a unique and theatrical welcome. In a video shared on the team’s social media handles, the star cricketer was given a grand ceremonial reception inspired by the Bollywood blockbuster Dhurandhar. The nearly 90-second clip shows Jadeja recreating the iconic entry style of the film’s antagonist Rehman Dakait, played by Akshaye Khanna.

Dressed in traditional Rajasthani attire, Jadeja walked onto the stage amid cheers and greeted the crowd with “Khamma Ghani, Rajasthan,” echoing the memorable moment in the film when Rehman Dakait addresses his supporters with “Assalam Walekum, Lyari” during a rally scene.

Jadeja joined the Royals after being traded from the Chennai Super Kings for ₹14 crore ahead of the IPL 2026 auction. The Saurashtra star had been a key figure in the CSK setup for most of his IPL career, spending 12 of the last 14 seasons with the franchise led by MS Dhoni.

During CSK’s two-year suspension from the league, Jadeja also represented the Gujarat Lions in the 2016 and 2017 editions of the tournament.
