New Zealand National Cricket Team vs England Cricket Team Match: The toss for the second ODI between England women's cricket team and New Zealand women's cricket team has been delayed due to a wet outfield following heavy rain at the County Ground in Southampton on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.
According to an update shared by England Cricket Board on social media, match officials have scheduled an inspection after a heavy downpour interrupted pre-match preparations. “Current scenes in Northampton, with the toss delayed and a 12:45pm inspection due to a heavy downpour. Updates to follow, let’s hope those blue skies remain,” England Cricket posted on X.
England entered the second ODI with a 1-0 lead in the series after securing a dramatic one-wicket victory in the opening match at Chester-le-Street. Maia Bouchier top-scored with 59 runs in the chase, while captain Charlie Dean remained unbeaten on 31 to guide the hosts home.
New Zealand will look to level the series if play gets underway, while England aim to clinch the ODI series with another victory.
