Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal has shared a cryptic post on social media amid growing speculation about his rumored divorce from Dhanashree Verma. In his Instagram story, he expressed gratitude to God, saying, “God has protected me more times than I can count. I can only count the times I've been rescued that I don't even know about. Thank you, God, for always being there even when I don't know it. Amen.”

The post has intensified discussions about the couple’s relationship, though neither Chahal nor Dhanashree has made an official statement. Rumors about their separation first surfaced in 2024 when reports suggested they had unfollowed each other on social media. Chahal also reportedly deleted photos with Dhanashree from his account, while she still has some of their pictures.

Speculation has also emerged that Chahal might have to pay ₹60 crore in alimony if the couple parts ways. However, no official confirmation has been made regarding these claims.

Chahal and Dhanashree met during the COVID-19 lockdown when the cricketer reached out to her for dance lessons. Their friendship soon turned into a relationship, leading to an engagement in August 2020 and marriage in December of the same year. Over the years, fans admired their chemistry, and Dhanashree was often seen supporting Chahal at matches.

On the cricketing front, Chahal made his international debut against Zimbabwe on June 11, 2016. He has taken 121 wickets in 72 ODIs and 96 wickets in 80 T20Is. Once India’s leading wicket-taker in T20Is, he has been out of the national team for some time. His last appearance in a T20I match was against the West Indies on August 13, 2023.

In the upcoming IPL 2025 season, Chahal will play for Punjab Kings after being acquired for ₹18 crore at the auction. The 34-year-old previously played for Rajasthan Royals.
