Pakistan National Cricket Team vs Namibia National Cricket Team Standings: Pakistan’s hopes of reaching the Super 8 stage of the 2026 T20 World Cup hang on the result of their final Group A match against Namibia on Wednesday, February 17, 2026. The Group B match between Ireland and Zimbabwe at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday was abandoned due to rain. The washout helped Zimbabwe seal a Super 8 spot and knocked Australia out of the tournament.

From Group A, only India have secured qualification so far. Pakistan and USA are fighting for the remaining place. USA are second in the Group A table with four points from four matches. Pakistan also have four points but from three games. Pakistan slipped to third after their 61-run defeat to India in Colombo on Sunday.

What Pakistan need to qualify

Pakistan will face Namibia in their final group match at the Sinhalese Sports Club on February 18.

  • If Pakistan win: They will move to six points and qualify for the Super 8. A win will take them above USA, who have completed their matches with four points.

  • If Pakistan lose: They will remain on four points. In that case, USA will progress due to a better net run rate. USA currently have a net run rate of +0.787, while Pakistan’s net run rate stands at -0.403.

If rain forces the match to be abandoned, both teams will share one point each. In that scenario, Pakistan will move to five points and overtake USA to claim the second spot in Group A.

Netherlands are also on two points and can reach four if they upset India in their final group match at the Narendra Modi Stadium. However, with a net run rate of -1.352, they are unlikely to break into the top two even with a win.

Teams qualified so far

Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka have advanced from Group B. West Indies and England have progressed from Group C, while South Africa and New Zealand have qualified from Group D.

With one Super 8 spot left in Group A, Pakistan’s fate remains in their own hands ahead of their must-win clash against Namibia.
