India National Under-19 Cricket Team vs Afghanistan National Under-19 Cricket Team Match Scorecard: Faisal Shinozada and Uzairullah Niazai struck commanding centuries as Afghanistan posted a formidable 310 for four against India in the semifinal of the Under-19 World Cup on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
Faisal top-scored with 110 off 93 balls, while Niazai remained unbeaten on 101 from 86 deliveries as India’s bowlers struggled to make regular breakthroughs. Opting to bat, Afghanistan laid a solid platform through openers Osman Sadat and Khalid Ahmadzai, who added 53 runs before pacer Deepesh Devendran provided India the first breakthrough in the 13th over.
Ahmadzai was dismissed for 31 off 39 balls after edging a length delivery to wicketkeeper Abhigyan Kundu. Faisal then added 64 runs for the second wicket with Sadat to keep Afghanistan on course for a strong total.
India pulled things back briefly when spin all-rounder Kanishk Chouhan dismissed Sadat at the start of the 25th over, with the batter caught at long-off after a mistimed shot. Sadat scored 39 but took 70 balls.
Faisal and Niazai then took control with a large third-wicket stand. Faisal struck 15 fours, while Niazai hit 12 boundaries and two sixes as Afghanistan accelerated in the latter stages.
