Half-centuries from Nitish Kumar Reddy and Rinku Singh propelled India to a formidable total of 221 for 9 in their 20 overs during the second T20I against Bangladesh at Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium on Wednesday.
After being asked to bat first, Sanju Samson got India off to a quick start with a couple of boundaries but could not build on his momentum. Abhishek Sharma and skipper Suryakumar Yadav also fell early, leaving the hosts struggling at 41 for 3 in the sixth over.
Nitish Reddy and Rinku Singh led a strong recovery, putting together a superb partnership of 108 runs for the fourth wicket. Reddy scored a blistering 76 runs off just 34 balls, while Singh contributed 53 runs off 29 balls, helping to stabilize the innings.
Hardik Pandya then added a quick-fire 32 runs off 19 balls, further consolidating India’s innings.
