Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto won the toss and chose to bat first against India in the second match of Group A in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Thursday.
Shanto said the pitch looked good for batting, and his team aimed to put up a strong total. He added that the squad was confident and ready to play good cricket. Bangladesh has named three spinners and two pacers in their playing XI.

India captain Rohit Sharma said he would have preferred to field first. He noted that the team had played at the venue a few years ago and believed the ball would come on better under lights.
Ravindra Jadeja returned to the team, replacing Varun Chakravarthy, while Mohammed Shami came in for Arshdeep Singh.
