India National Cricket Team vs Netherlands National Cricket Team Match: India won the toss and elected to bat against the Netherlands in their final Group A match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 at the Narendra Modi Stadium  on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. Skipper Suryakumar Yadav said the pitch looked ideal for batting. “Looks like a good surface. We want to put runs on the board and put some pressure on the bowlers to defend,” he said.

India have made two changes to their lineup. Arshdeep Singh replaces Kuldeep Yadav, while Washington Sundar comes in for Axar Patel, who is resting.

The Men in Blue, who have already secured a place in the Super 8 stage with three wins from three matches and a net run rate of +3.050, will look to maintain their winning momentum.

The playing XIs:

India: Ishan Kishan (w), Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, Suryakumar Yadav (c), Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube, Rinku Singh, Washington Sundar, Arshdeep Singh, Varun Chakaravarthy, Jasprit Bumrah

Netherlands: Michael Levitt, Max O'Dowd, Bas de Leede, Colin Ackermann, Scott Edwards (c & w), Zach Lion-Cachet, Noah Croes, Roelof van der Merwe, Logan van Beek, Aryan Dutt, Kyle Klein

The pitch has been described as a “batter’s paradise” by former player Katey Martin. She said the surface tends to improve as the night progresses and that fuller-length deliveries have been effective for bowlers.
