New Zealand National Cricket Team vs India National Cricket Team Match: India’s young pacer Harshit Rana gave the hosts an early breakthrough in the second T20 International against New Zealand at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Stadium on Friday. New Zealand openers Devon Conway and Tim Seifert had started cautiously, but Rana dismissed Conway in the fourth over, handing the visitors their first major setback. He celebrated by raising four fingers, a reference to the four times he has dismissed Conway in the ongoing India-New Zealand series, including all three ODIs earlier in the tour.

In the next over, spinner Varun Chakravarthy struck again, removing Seifert for 24 while attempting a big shot off a googly. Both Kiwi openers were back in the pavilion with the score at 43, leaving New Zealand on the back foot.

India captain Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and chose to bowl first. Harshit Rana and Kuldeep Yadav replaced Jasprit Bumrah and Axar Patel in the playing XI. Bumrah was rested for workload management, while Axar missed out due to injury.
