India National Cricket Team vs Namibia National Cricket Team Match: India are likely to make a few changes to their playing XI when they face Namibia in their second Group match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Thursday, February 12, 2026.

India come into the match after a 28-run win over the United States in their opening game. The victory, however, raised some concerns around batting depth and player availability.

India were without several key players in the first match. Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah missed the game due to illness, while all-rounder Washington Sundar was unavailable because of injury. Harshit Rana was ruled out of the tournament and replaced by Mohammed Siraj, who impressed with the ball against the USA.

Opener Abhishek Sharma also picked up an illness during the match. Assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate said on Tuesday that Abhishek was still unwell and Bumrah had not resumed bowling. Sundar has since joined the squad and is expected to return to bowling duties.

With Siraj and Arshdeep Singh performing well in the first match, India may choose to rest Bumrah for another game. If Abhishek is not fit, Sanju Samson is expected to open the innings alongside Ishan Kishan.

Sundar’s return could affect the team combination, but Rinku Singh and Shivam Dube are likely to retain their places for at least one more match as Sundar builds match fitness.
