India National Cricket Team vs Pakistan National Cricket Team Match: Former India opener Wasim Jaffer trolled Pakistan after the Men in Green reversed their decision to boycott the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 clash against India. Jaffer shared the popular Bollywood meme “Are tu jaa re” from the cult classic Hera Pheri to mock the sudden U-turn.

The two teams are set to face off in a Group A match at R. Premadasa Stadium on Feb. 15, following uncertainty after Pakistan had threatened to withdraw. The Pakistan Cricket Board backtracked on its stance after talks with the International Cricket Council and the Bangladesh Cricket Board on Monday.

Pakistan confirmed that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif instructed the team to play against India. The ICC issued a statement confirming the fixture, noting that all parties had agreed to respect their commitments to ensure the T20 World Cup proceeds smoothly.

India and Pakistan have met eight times in T20 World Cups, with India winning seven of those encounters.

Pakistan began their campaign with a narrow three-wicket win over the Netherlands at the Sinhalese Sports Club, Colombo. They will play the United States on Tuesday, Feb. 10. India opened their tournament with a 29-run win over the USA at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, and will take on Namibia at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi, on Feb. 12
