Sanju Samson scored 37 and Abhishek Sharma 34 in a 63-run opening partnership, while Tilak Varma made 73 off 42 balls, including 10 fours and a six. Hardik Pandya hammered 63 off 25 balls with five sixes and five fours, and Shivam Dube remained unbeaten on 10 as India posted 231/5 in 20 overs.

South Africa responded strongly as Quinton de Kock made 65 off 35 balls and Dewald Brevis scored 31, but contributions from the tailenders were not enough. Varun Chakravarthy took four wickets and Jasprit Bumrah two as India restricted South Africa to 201/8, winning by 30 runs and taking the series 3–1.

The Super 8 clash will test whether South Africa can turn past lessons into a winning strategy against a confident Indian side, while India will look to repeat its dominant performance as both teams aim to strengthen their position in the Super 8 stage.
