India National Cricket Team vs Zimbabwe National Cricket Team Match Toss Update: Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to bowl against India in Super 8 Group 1 match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Thursday, February 26, 2026.  India made two changes to its playing XI. Sanju Samson replaced Rinku Singh and will take over wicketkeeping duties from Ishan Kishan. Axar Patel also came in for Washington Sundar to strengthen India’s all-round options. Zimbabwe also made one change, bringing in Tinotenda Maposa in place of Graeme Cremer.

Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza said the surface appeared moist and could assist the seamers early. “Not your usual Chennai wicket. Looks moist, want to give the best chance to the seamers. If we can restrict India to a low total, it will go a long way,” Raza said. Zimbabwe made one tactical change, bringing in Tinotenda Maposa in place of Graeme Cremer.

India captain Suryakumar Yadav said he would have preferred to bat first but was confident in his side’s preparation. “Happy with the decision, we were looking to bat first. The mood in the camp is relaxed. Just forget what happened in the last game and play fearless cricket,” he said.
