Chasing a challenging target of 311, India got off to a flying start with 15-year-old Suryavanshi smashing 68 off 33 balls. By the time he was dismissed in the 10th over, India had already reached 90. Captain Ayush Mhatre then joined George, and the pair added 114 for the second wicket to maintain the momentum.

Earlier, Afghanistan posted 310 for four, powered by centuries from Faisal Shinozada (110 off 93 balls) and Uzairullah Niazai (101 not out off 86 balls). Osman Sadat (39) and Khalid Ahmadzai (31) had provided a solid start, but Indian bowlers struggled to break the key partnerships consistently.

India will now face England in the final, aiming for their sixth consecutive U19 World Cup title.
