IPL 2026, DC vs GT Match: Gujarat Titans held their nerve to secure a dramatic one-run victory over Delhi Capitals in a high-scoring Indian Premier League 2026 clash at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Wednesday.

The contest went down to the final delivery, leaving players and fans on edge throughout the closing overs. Gujarat Titans’ head coach Ashish Nehra also made headlines after his animated reaction to a crucial moment went viral on social media.

Chasing 211, Delhi Capitals fell just short despite a valiant effort led by KL Rahul, who scored 92 off 52 balls. The hosts needed two runs off the final two deliveries, but David Miller declined a single on the penultimate ball and failed to connect on the last delivery, sealing a narrow win for Gujarat.

Earlier, Gujarat Titans posted 210 for four after being put in to bat. Captain Shubman Gill led from the front with 70 off 45 balls, while Jos Buttler smashed 52 off 27 deliveries. Washington Sundar added 55 off 32 balls to power the visitors past the 200 mark.

A pivotal moment came in the death overs when Gill’s direct hit resulted in four overthrows after the ball deflected off the stumps and raced to the boundary. The incident prompted an animated reaction from Nehra in the dugout, reflecting the intensity of the contest.

Despite a strong start in the chase, including a 76-run opening stand between Rahul and Pathum Nissanka (41 off 24), Delhi Capitals lost momentum in the middle overs. Miller’s unbeaten 41 off 20 balls kept hopes alive, but the team ultimately fell short.

For Gujarat Titans, Rashid Khan starred with the ball, taking 3 for 17. Mukesh Kumar (2 for 55) and Lungi Ngidi (1 for 24) were the standout bowlers for Delhi Capitals.
