Delhi Capitals captain Axar Patel said the decision was influenced by the team’s recent success while chasing and the conditions on offer. “We will bowl first. We've chased well in the last two matches and this is a fresh wicket. There has been some rain, so there could be moisture. We'll look to restrict them and chase it down,” he said.

Gujarat Titans skipper Shubman Gill returned to the playing XI after missing the previous game due to a neck spasm. He replaces Kumar Kushagra, with the rest of the side unchanged. Gill said he was feeling better and backed his side to post a competitive total after being put in to bat.

Delhi Capitals, who have won both their matches so far, named an unchanged lineup. Gujarat Titans are still searching for their first win of the season after two losses.

Pitch Report

The surface at the Arun Jaitley Stadium is expected to be batting-friendly, though not as high-scoring as some previous games at the venue. While the pitch appears dry with a light covering of grass, there is a slight sheen under lights, suggesting good carry.

Square boundaries are evenly sized, with shorter dimensions on one side and around 73 meters straight, offering scoring opportunities. However, patches on the surface and minimal grass could also bring spinners into play as the match progresses.

The average first-innings score at the venue last season was around 198, indicating a competitive total could be in that range, though conditions may keep scores slightly lower.
