The incident occurred on Friday at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, when Parakh was struck by a ball during training. He appeared to be in significant pain and was bleeding on the field. An ambulance was later called, and the youngster was taken to a hospital in Delhi for further evaluation and treatment.
According to reports, Parakh has undergone scans, though the franchise has not issued an official update on his condition.
Parakh, a left-handed opening batter who also bowls part-time leg-spin, was signed by Delhi Capitals for Rs 30 lakh in the auction. He has represented Maharashtra in domestic cricket and has impressed in age-group competitions.
