IPL 2026: Dewald Brevis has confirmed his return to action for Chennai Super Kings ahead of their upcoming Indian Premier League 2026 clash against the Delhi Capitals on Saturday, April 11, 2026. The South African batter, who missed the initial phase of the season due to an injury sustained after the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, shared the update during a fan interaction session. “Can't wait to see you guys on the 11th, any match, anywhere we play,” Brevis said, expressing excitement about his comeback and thanking fans for their support.
Chennai Super Kings have lost all three matches so far this season despite scoring over 200 runs in two games. The team’s bowling unit has struggled to defend totals.
Brevis had joined CSK last season as a replacement and impressed in limited appearances. He was expected to be part of the full squad this year but was unavailable at the start due to fitness issues.
The 22-year-old has been in good T20 form, scoring 370 runs in 12 innings in the SA20 earlier this year at a strike rate above 150, including a century in the final.
His return is expected to strengthen Chennai’s middle order, although the team still needs improvement in bowling.
CSK will face Delhi Capitals next as they look to register their first win of the season.
