IPL 2026: Gujarat Titans have appointed former India wicketkeeper-batter Vijay Dahiya as their assistant coach for the upcoming 2026 Indian Premier League season. Dahiya’s appointment comes shortly after Gujarat Titans named former Australia opener Matthew Hayden as their batting coach.
Dahiya has previously worked with several IPL franchises, including Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants, and brings experience from both his playing and coaching careers in Indian cricket.

The former wicketkeeper represented India in 19 one-day internationals and two Tests. He was also an important member of Delhi’s domestic team during his playing career.
After retiring from professional cricket, Dahiya moved into coaching and built a strong reputation in the domestic circuit. He was part of the Delhi support staff when the team won the Ranji Trophy title in the 2007-08 season.
Since making its IPL debut in 2022, Gujarat Titans has been among the most consistent teams in the tournament, reaching the playoffs three times in four seasons and winning its maiden title.
