IPL Points Table 2026: Sunrisers Hyderabad confirmed their place in the Indian Premier League 2026 playoffs after defeating Chennai Super Kings by five wickets in Match 63 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Monday, May 18, 2026.
The victory helped Sunrisers Hyderabad move to third place in the standings with 16 points from 13 matches. SRH also became the third team to qualify for the playoffs after Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans.
Hyderabad’s win also confirmed Gujarat Titans’ qualification for the playoffs. GT remained second in the standings with 16 points and a net run rate of +0.400.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru continued to lead the table with 18 points from 13 matches and became the first side to secure a playoff berth earlier this week.
The defeat dealt a major blow to Chennai Super Kings’ playoff hopes. CSK slipped to sixth place with 12 points from 13 matches and now face a difficult path to qualification. Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals are also tied on 12 points, while Kolkata Knight Riders remain in contention with 11 points from 12 games.
Punjab Kings stayed fourth despite their recent poor run and currently hold 13 points from 13 matches.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants remain eliminated from the playoff race.
