IPL Points Table 2026: Kolkata Knight Riders kept their playoff hopes alive after registering a 29-run victory over Gujarat Titans in Match 60 of Indian Premier League 2026 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Saturday, May 16, 2026.
The victory helped KKR climb above Delhi Capitals to seventh place in the standings with 11 points from 12 matches. The three-time champions now have five wins, six defeats and one no-result this season.
Despite the defeat, Gujarat Titans stayed second in the standings with 16 points from 13 matches. However, GT missed the opportunity to officially seal a playoff spot.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru continue to lead the table with 16 points and the best net run rate in the tournament at +1.053.
Sunrisers Hyderabad remained third with 14 points from 12 matches, while Punjab Kings occupied fourth place with 13 points from 12 games.
Rajasthan Royals are fifth with 12 points from 11 matches and remain strongly placed in the playoff race. Chennai Super Kings also have 12 points from 12 games but slipped to sixth due to an inferior net run rate.
Delhi Capitals dropped to eighth place with 10 points after KKR’s victory, while Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants stayed ninth and tenth respectively with eight points each. Both MI and LSG have already been eliminated from the playoff race.
