IPL Points Table 2026: Indian Premier League 2026 points table witnessed another major shake-up after Delhi Capitals defeated Punjab Kings by three wickets in a thrilling Match 55 at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala on Monday, May 11, 2026.

The victory kept Delhi Capitals alive in the playoff race, while Punjab Kings suffered their fourth consecutive defeat and missed the opportunity to move to the top of the standings.

Delhi Capitals chased down a daunting target of 211 runs after recovering from a disastrous start. Captain Axar Patel starred with a blistering 56 off 30 balls, while David Miller smashed 51 from 28 deliveries. Youngster Madhav Tiwari also impressed with an unbeaten cameo and a wicket earlier in the innings.

Despite the defeat, Punjab Kings remain fourth in the IPL 2026 points table with 13 points from 11 matches and a net run rate of +0.428. The Shreyas Iyer-led side has now lost four matches in a row after a strong start to the campaign.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru continue to lead the standings with 14 points from 11 matches and a superior net run rate of +1.103. Sunrisers Hyderabad are second with 14 points and an NRR of +0.737, while Gujarat Titans occupy third place with 14 points and an NRR of +0.228.

Chennai Super Kings are fifth with 12 points from 11 matches, followed by Rajasthan Royals, who also have 12 points but a lower net run rate.

Delhi Capitals climbed to seventh place after the win and now have 10 points from 12 matches. However, Axar Patel’s side still faces a difficult road to playoff qualification due to their negative net run rate of -0.993.

Kolkata Knight Riders remain eighth with nine points from 10 matches and still have four league games left to play.

At the bottom of the table, Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants continue to struggle with six points each from 11 matches. Both teams are officially out of the playoff race.

Punjab Kings opener Priyansh Arya continued his impressive form with a 33-ball 56, while skipper Shreyas Iyer remained unbeaten on 59 off 36 deliveries to guide PBKS to 210 for five.

However, Delhi Capitals held their nerve in the chase to register one of their most important victories of the season and add further intrigue to the IPL 2026 playoff race.
