The pair dominated the Lucknow bowling attack after an early wicket, laying a strong foundation for a massive total. LSG managed to remove Arya, Connolly and skipper Shreyas Iyer in quick succession, but the damage had already been done.

Marcus Stoinis then provided the finishing touches with a quickfire 29, ensuring Punjab crossed the 250-mark.

In reply, Lucknow Super Giants posted 200 for 5 in their allotted 20 overs, falling well short of the target despite contributions from captain Rishabh Pant (43), Mitchell Marsh (40) and Aiden Markram (42).

Punjab’s bowlers kept things under control despite the high-scoring nature of the contest, with Vijaykumar Vyshak among the contributors with the ball.

With this win, Punjab Kings continued their strong run in the tournament, while Lucknow Super Giants suffered another setback in their campaign.
