TATA IPL  2026, GT vs RR Match: Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan offered prayers at a mosque ahead of Gujarat Titans’ second match of the Indian Premier League 2026 season against Rajasthan Royals on Saturday, Apriil 4, 2026. Rashid, who was retained by Gujarat Titans for the 2026 season, visited the mosque during his stay in Ahmedabad and participated in namaz.

The match will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

Rashid has taken 159 wickets in 157 IPL matches since making his debut in 2017 for Sunrisers Hyderabad. He has also recorded two four-wicket hauls in the tournament.

The 27-year-old had a difficult season last year after returning from injury. He took nine wickets in 15 matches and had an economy rate of 9.34, the highest of his IPL career. He also conceded 35 sixes, the most by a bowler in a single IPL season.

Gujarat Titans lost their opening match of IPL 2026 by three wickets to Punjab Kings.

Rashid bowled four overs for 29 runs and took one wicket, dismissing Prabhsimran Singh.

He is expected to play a key role as Gujarat Titans look to register their first win of the season against Rajasthan Royals.
