Captain Rajat Patidar added 48 off 19 balls, while Tim David remained unbeaten on 70 off 25 balls as the hosts finished strongly.

Patidar and David shared a 99-run partnership in 36 balls to accelerate the scoring in the latter half of the innings.

In reply, Chennai was bowled out for 207 in 19.4 overs despite efforts from Sarfaraz Khan (50) and Prashant Veer (43).

Bhuvneshwar Kumar led the bowling attack for Bengaluru with figures of 3 for 41, while Jacob Duffy, Krunal Pandya and Abhinandan Singh picked up two wickets each.
