IPL 2026, DC vs GT Match: Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill is set to return for the team’s Indian Premier League 2026 clash against Delhi Capitals on Wednesday, teammate Sai Sudharsan confirmed.
Gill, who missed Gujarat’s previous match against Rajasthan Royals due to muscle spasms, has recovered and is expected to lead the side in their third fixture of the season.
“Shubman is coming along well. He’ll be playing tomorrow,” Sudharsan said on the eve of the match.
In Gill’s absence, Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan captained the Titans in a narrow six-run loss to Rajasthan in Ahmedabad. Gujarat restricted the Royals to 210 for 20 overs but fell short in a tense chase that went down to the final over.
The 2022 champions, are yet to register a win this season and are among the bottom-placed teams in the standings. Alongside Chennai Super Kings, they remain without a point, while Kolkata Knight Riders have one point after a rain-affected match.
The Titans will be looking to turn their campaign around against a Delhi Capitals side that has started strongly, winning both of its opening matches, including victories over Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians.
