Mumbai, who were placed 10th before the game, posted 199 for 5 after being put in to bat, riding on an unbeaten century from Tilak Varma. Gujarat Titans were then bowled out for 100, handing Mumbai a comprehensive win that kept their playoff hopes alive.

Punjab Kings, led by Shreyas Iyer, remain the only unbeaten side this season. They have won five of their six matches, with one game abandoned due to rain, and lead the table with 11 points and a net run rate of 1.420. Punjab are also the first team to reach double-digit points in IPL 2026.

Defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru are second with eight points from six matches. Rajasthan Royals are third with the same number of points but an inferior net run rate.

Sunrisers Hyderabad occupy the fourth spot with six points from six matches, remaining in contention for the playoffs.

Delhi Capitals are fifth with six points and a net run rate of 0.310. Gujarat Titans, who suffered their third defeat of the season, are sixth with six points from six matches.

Mumbai Indians’ big win helped them jump from 10th to seventh place with four points from six matches. Chennai Super Kings are eighth, while Lucknow Super Giants are ninth.

Kolkata Knight Riders are at the bottom of the table with three points from seven matches, having registered just one win so far this season.
