Opting to bat, Rajasthan rode on solid contributions from Yashasvi Jaiswal, who scored 55 off 36 balls, and Dhruv Jurel, who made 75 off 42 deliveries, to post a competitive total. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi added a brisk 31 at the top, while a late cameo from Ravindra Jadeja helped push the innings past the 200 mark.
Gujarat, led by Rashid Khan in the absence of regular captain Shubman Gill, made a strong start to the chase. Sai Sudharsan struck a fluent 73, sharing an opening stand with Kumar Kushagra.
However, leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi turned the match in Rajasthan’s favor with a decisive spell, removing key middle-order batters including Glenn Phillips and Washington Sundar in quick succession.
Despite late resistance from Rashid Khan and Kagiso Rabada, Gujarat fell short as Rajasthan sealed its second consecutive win.
With the victory, Rajasthan moved to the top of the IPL 2026 standings with four points from two matches and a net run rate of +2.233. Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings also have four points each but trail on net run rate.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru is fourth with two points, followed by Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians.
