Kolkata Knight Riders vs Rajasthan Royals Standings: Kolkata Knight Riders finally opened their account in the TATA IPL 2026 with a four-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals in Match 28, but the victory brought only a minor change to the points table as they continue to remain in the lower half.
Despite the defeat, Rajasthan Royals held on to the third spot with eight points from six matches, though their net run rate took a slight hit. Punjab Kings continued to lead the standings with nine points from five matches, maintaining their unbeaten run in the tournament so far.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru are placed second with eight points, closely followed by Rajasthan Royals. Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals occupy the fourth and fifth spots respectively, both on six points.
Gujarat Titans are also on six points but sit sixth due to a marginally lower net run rate. Chennai Super Kings, Lucknow Super Giants and Kolkata Knight Riders round off the bottom half of the table, while Mumbai Indians remain at the bottom with just two points from five games.
KKR’s win provides a much-needed boost to their campaign, but they still face an uphill task to climb out of the lower end of the standings as the tournament progresses.
