He joins Yuzvendra Chahal (228 wickets) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (215 wickets) in the elite list.
The West Indies spinner has taken 200 wickets in 197 matches at an average of over 25 and an economy rate of around 6.8. He is also the first player to achieve the milestone while representing a single franchise, having played exclusively for Kolkata Knight Riders since his debut in 2012. Narine holds the distinction of having the best economy rate among bowlers with more than 100 wickets in IPL history. He has also recorded eight four-wicket hauls, second only to Chahal’s tally, along with a five-wicket haul and a hat-trick. In addition to his bowling achievements, Narine has contributed with the bat, scoring over 1,800 runs at a strike rate above 165. He is the only player in IPL history to complete the double of 1,000 runs and 200 wickets.
Across all T20 cricket, Narine has taken 621 wickets in 591 matches at an economy rate of 6.17, placing him among the leading wicket-takers in the format behind Rashid Khan and Dwayne Bravo. Narine has also been named the IPL’s Most Valuable Player three times (2012, 2018 and 2024), the most by any player.
