David then took control, showcasing his power-hitting ability as he cleared the boundaries consistently at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

The total of 250 for 3 is the highest of IPL 2026 and also the highest ever recorded in matches between Bengaluru and Chennai.

For Chennai, Khaleel Ahmed was the most economical bowler, while the rest of the attack struggled to contain the scoring.
