Punjab Kings vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru Standings IPL 2026: Royal Challengers Bengaluru became the first team to qualify for the playoffs in Indian Premier League 2026 after defeating Punjab Kings by 23 runs in Match 61 at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala on Sunday, May 17, 2026.

The result also brought significant changes to the Orange Cap and Purple Cap leaderboards, with Virat Kohli and Bhuvneshwar Kumar strengthening their positions among the leading run-scorers and wicket-takers of the season.

Kohli moved to third place in the Orange Cap standings after scoring 58 runs against PBKS. The RCB batter now has 542 runs from 13 matches at an average of 54.20.

However, Sai Sudharsan continues to lead the Orange Cap race with 554 runs from 13 matches for Gujarat Titans, while teammate Shubman Gill remains second with 552 runs.

Heinrich Klaasen of Sunrisers Hyderabad is fourth with 508 runs, while teammate Abhishek Sharma occupies fifth position with 481 runs.

In the Purple Cap standings, Bhuvneshwar Kumar extended his lead at the top after taking two wickets against PBKS. The veteran RCB pacer now has 24 wickets from 13 matches at an economy rate of 7.40.

Kagiso Rabada remains second with 21 wickets for Gujarat Titans, while Anshul Kamboj of Chennai Super Kings is third with 19 wickets.

Prince Yadav and Rashid Khan complete the top five with 16 wickets each.
