IPL 2026, LSG vs PBKS Today Match: Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have left out spinner Digvesh Rathi for their sixth match of the Indian Premier League 2026 against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, New Chandigarh on Sunday, April 19, 2026.

LSG captain Rishabh Pant, who won the toss and opted to bowl first, confirmed that Rathi has been dropped from the playing XI, with Manimaran Siddharth coming in as his replacement. “(Manimaran) Siddharth comes in and (Digvesh) Rathi misses out,” Pant said at the toss.

The 26-year-old Rathi has taken 17 wickets in 17 IPL matches so far but endured a tough outing in LSG’s previous game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, where he conceded 51 runs in four overs without picking up a wicket. Prior to that, he had claimed one wicket in each of the three matches.

Although Rathi has been named among LSG’s Impact Players, his chances of featuring appear slim with the side bowling first. LSG are more likely to opt for batting reinforcements such as Matthew Breetzke, Abdul Samad or Himmat Singh during the chase if required.

PBKS, meanwhile, have gone in with an unchanged XI under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer. They head into the contest on the back of a convincing win over Mumbai Indians, where Iyer and Prabhsimran Singh scored half-centuries in a successful 196-run chase at the Wankhede Stadium.
