IPL 2026, PBKS vs DC Today Match: Punjab Kings fast bowler Lockie Ferguson is not part of the playing for Match 55 of Indian Premier League 2026 against Delhi Capitals at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala on Monday, May 11, 2026, due to a minor injury concern. PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer confirmed at the toss that the New Zealand pacer was unavailable for selection after picking up a slight niggle ahead of the crucial encounter.

Australian left-arm pacer Ben Dwarshuis replaced Ferguson in the playing XI, with Punjab making just one change to the side. Speaking at the toss, Iyer said the team was focused on quickly recovering from its recent setbacks despite suffering three consecutive defeats in the tournament.

“There are going to be ups and downs and how quickly you turn back and get the best performance is what matters. Ben Dwarshuis comes in place of Lockie Ferguson, who has a slight niggle,” Iyer said.

Ferguson’s absence came as a surprise as he had featured in Punjab’s previous match against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

The right-arm fast bowler has endured a difficult IPL 2026 campaign so far. Ferguson has played two matches this season and managed only one wicket while conceding runs at an economy rate of 12.25.

Punjab Kings entered the must-win fixture looking to end a three-match losing streak and revive their push for a top-two finish in the IPL 2026 points table.

Delhi Capitals, meanwhile, needed a victory to keep their playoff hopes alive after a poor run of form in recent matches.
