IPL 2026, MI vs SRH Today Match: Mumbai Indians wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock missed the match 41 of the Indian Premier League 2026 against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai in Mumbai on Wednesday due to a wrist injury. MI captain Hardik Pandya confirmed at the toss that de Kock sustained the injury shortly before the game, ruling him out of the playing XI. “Mitchell (Santner) was unfortunate, and so was Quinny today. He just did something to his wrist. We have a couple of changes for this team. Ryan (Rickelton) comes in place of Quinny,” Pandya said.
De Kock, who recently scored a century for Mumbai this season, had taken over opening duties in the absence of Rohit Sharma. His absence forced the team to bring Ryan Rickelton back into the lineup as wicketkeeper-opener.
Mumbai also made additional changes, including the inclusion of Robin Minz, while England all-rounder Will Jacks returned to the XI to strengthen the batting unit.
