Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], May 13 : Gujarat Titans (GT) reached the top of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 points table after a big 82-run victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday.

Speaking on Star Sports 'Amul Cricket Live', JioStar expert Saba Karim analysed Kagiso Rabada's spell against SRH.

While defending the 168-run total, GT's Kagiso Rabada (3/28 in four overs) dismantled the top-order consisting of Abhishek Sharma (6), Ishan Kishan (11) and Smaran Ravichandran (9), reducing SRH to 32/4 in 5.5 overs. The South African seamer was named 'Player of the Match' for his sensational powerplay spell.

Talking about Rabada's sensational spell, the former Indian wicketkeeper-batter said, "With the kind of form he is in, Rabada has become the leader of this GT pace attack. Once again, he stuck to his strengths brilliantly. He generated extra bounce off the surface and looked fiery throughout his spell. The way he planned Abhishek Sharma's wicket was wonderful to watch."

"Even against Ishan Kishan, who looked solid whenever the ball was pitched in his zone, Rabada smartly kept the ball short and away from him to force the mistake. Overall, he sets the tone for the rest of the bowlers. He is the one who leads the bowling plans, and the others follow his lead," Karim added.

Later, it was Jason Holder (3/20 in four overs) and Prasidh Krishna (2/23 in three overs) who skittled out SRH for just 86 runs and won the match by 82 runs.

With eight wins and four losses, GT stays at the top of the table with 16 points, and SRH has slid down to third with seven wins and five losses, with 14 points.

Gujarat Titans will face Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Saturday, whereas SRH will take on CSK at Chepauk on Monday.
