Bollywood actor Athiya Shetty and her husband, Indian cricketer KL Rahul, announced they are expecting their first child, sharing the joyful news on social media on Friday. The couple, who married in January 2023, revealed they are set to welcome their baby in 2025.

Rahul, who has been a regular fixture in India's Test team since his debut in 2014, has scored 2,969 runs in 52 Tests. In 2024, he has featured in four Tests, amassing 222 runs at an average of 44.40. Despite a disappointing performance in India A's recent series against Australia A, Rahul will be eager to earn a spot in India's starting eleven for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy, with the first Test of the five-match series set to begin in Perth on November 22.
